My portrait session with Stefanie Moore was a dream! Stefanie is gorgeous, talented and so much fun to work with. Stefanie’s vocal talents can be heard in Conspirare, Seraphic Fire, and other chamber groups across the country. Stefanie and her delightful entourage (Beth Beauchamp, Tynan Davis, and Blood and Glitter Makeup) were all-pro and fabulous to collaborate with. These two sweethearts, Rachel and Roy, are tying the knot this weekend, and I can’t wait! Here’s a look at their engagement session in Clarksville – a cozy neighborhood in the heart of Austin filled with historic homes with great, big trees. Pro tip: end all sessions at Cafe Medici for coffee and tacos.
Happy 10th anniversary, GAYBIGAYGAY! GAYBI is absolutely one of my favorite days of the year, and this year’s event was perfect. Lots of love to this awesome community!
Pounced on a gorgeous foggy morning in Austin, and decided to venture under the Montopolis bridge. Happy I did!
For the love of the lanes, it’s the BEEB. The BEEB is short for BBNC, which stands for Brewskee-Ball National Championship. This weekend-long extravaganza of awesomeness brings together the top Brewskee-Ball rollers in the nation to battle it out for the title of numero uno.
A few weeks ago, I had the lucky privilege of getting to spend a few hours with the very handsome and well behaved August Bix while his mother gave a radio interview and big poppa was away with work. So of course I brought my camera, and when momma Beth returned we did an impromptu little session. I love these guys, and could capture their special moments all day. I am also aware that I’m a little obsessed with Bix’s toesies… Enjoy!
Laura Mercado-Wright is a talented performer of opera, oratorio, recital, chamber, and experimental music. She’s also an exceptionally wonderful person to be around. It was such a treat exploring Austin with […]
Yvette and I go way back – to the days when recess was the most important part of the day. So when she asked me to shoot her maternity photos, I was thrilled. It was such an honor to document this special time in Yvette and Mario’s life, and they were such a treat to shoot! I’m so excited for them and this new adventure they’re ready to embark on with little miss Piper Ray.

Marfa, Texas. Love it. I love the seven hours it took to get there from Austin. I love that the trip was a birthday gift from the most amazing person ever – Laura – who also happens to be my wife (lucky me). This birthday year was a special one.
